Call for Book Reviews

The editors are looking for individuals interested in writing book reviews to be published in the Journal. Interested individuals should contact the Book Review Editor, Robert Stanley Herren (stanterrier@yahoo.com) with their name, address, email address, and areas of interest. This information will enable the Book Review Editor to match books received from publishers to areas of interest of book reviewers. If a reviewer already possesses a book that you would like to review, please contact the Book Review Editor before submitting a review. 

Journal of Economic Insight (JoEI) endorsed by the 2019 ABDC Journal Quality List

The editors are pleased to announce the JoEI is one of the 157 journals that have been added to the 2019 list of journals endorsed by the Australia Business Deans Council https://abdc.edu.au/research/abdc-journal-list/ .   

The expert panel rated the JoEI a C, along with 37% of the journals rated by the expert panel. 

The list covers journals relating to: Business and Taxation Law; Economics; Finance including Actuarial Studies; Information Systems; Management, Commercial Services and Transport and Logistics; Marketing and Tourism; and other areas.

The editors would like to thank everyone involved with the application process and in particular extend special thanks to Wendy Umberger at the University of Adelaide. 

New Co-Editors

The Journal of Economic Insight has new editors for 2018.  Christopher Douglas, University of Michigan – Flint, and Joshua Lewer, Bradley University, have taken over the reins as co-editors of the journal from David Hakes, University of Northern Iowa, who served as editor of the journal for more than 20 years.  Our new co-editors look forward to building off David’s legacy and continue the journal’s commitment to publishing quality research.  We thank David for his longtime service to the journal and are excited for the changes to come. 

New website for the journal

The Journal of Economic Insight has a new home.  Over the next several months we will be digitally archiving all of the journal's past content, which will be accessible to members and our library subscribers online. 

In the near future one will also be able to make article submission via our website as well.
